Color Analysis with CJ Brown!
I’m so excited to share this interview I did with CJ Brown, owner of House of Colour Pike Road! Not sure what color analysis even is? You came to the right place! CJ and I sat down to discuss her business, who it’s for, and why you might want to visit her before you schedule your photo session with me!

Impatient to get to the good stuff? I hear ya. Here are the highlights:
CJ and her husband have lived in Pike Road, AL for about 4 years. They have 5 little girls and a baby boy on the way! She got into doing color analysis for others after wanting to have her own colors done but not finding anyone local who could help her. She found that having color analysis done for herself has increased her ease in everyday life and her overall confidence.
Why have color analysis done before having portraits taken?
CJ says that her clients generally experience more confidence after discovering which clothing (and makeup!) helps their natural complexion truly shine. And when you feel confident in your color choices, you look even better!
Why go to a professional to have color analysis?
Some clients come in with assumptions about what their results will be from what others have told them or trying to figure it out themselves with information online. Because CJ has had formal training and a good deal of experience in helping people find their best colors, it’s definitely worth seeking out her expertise. The good news is that your best colors stay the same throughout your life, so once you know your preferred palate, you’re good to go!
Am I stuck wearing the same few colors for the rest of my life if I want to look good?
Not at all! Through color analysis, you’ll learn your most flattering 36 success colors and 8-10 “wow” colors. These are just a guideline, however. For the most impact, make sure to wear your best colors in your makeup and choose “wow” colors for special occasions (hint, hint - portrait day!)
